Stacey and Alex's Wedding at Morgan MFG
Photography By Nicole Clarey Photography
From the first phone call, Stacey was one of the kindest brides I’ve ever consulted. She shared her and Alex’s love story, a true fairy tale that began in Australia where the groom is originally from. Her vision of their wedding day was clear, as was her love for her soon-to-be groom. With neutrals, soft pink, burgundy, and green as the color concept, we were completely on board with the idea of incorporating subtle elements of Australian culture into the wedding day.
Their West Loop venue, Morgan MFG, was the ideal location for both the ceremony and reception. A beautiful, custom, wood-stained arbor, perfect for Morgan MFG’s lofted space, was installed with neutral and burgundy blooms and sage green, Australian eucalyptus suspended around the sides and cross beam. The sun illuminated the altar space through the venue’s sky lights, and Nicole Clarey Photography captured the couple, the flowers, the venue, and the entire day with perfection.
Stacey had the most amazing idea for a place card table, and guests were greeted by a table of adorable koala bears climbing up tree branches at cocktail hour. Each koala bear held onto a personalized boomerang for every guest, and Bride and Joy Eventswas a joy to collaborate with to ensure each and every guest would be able to find their own koala bear successfully before dinner.
As the evening progressed, guests entered the reception space and found an elegant room awaiting, glowing in simplicity and thoughtful details. The long, stunning wooden tables from Morgan MFG filled the space. Guests found their seats from the custom designed table numbers, named after each major city the bride and groom had traveled to over the years. We love any opportunity to connect the flowers to the calligraphy at our weddings, and Jeannie from Simply Scripted was able to paint sage green eucalyptus under each city name, matching the table tops beautifully. A detail that goes a long way when such a skilled photographer is taking photos!
On each table, a combination of low floral arrangements and Australian-inspired driftwood branches mixed harmoniously with long eucalyptus garlands and low candle light. Beautifully patterned table runners incorporated subtle accents of gold, and Inspired Catering and Events provided a delicious meal that smelled absolutely incredible. We were so fortunate to have Captured in Frames there to capture the night on video!
Stacey and Alex, thank you for trusting us with you wedding vision! You were such a joy to work with and we wish you nothing but love and happiness for all the years to come!
